Camera의 진수를 보여주는 Leica, M8 Upgrade Program Stand-by

모처럼 기다리던 내용이 나왔습니다. Leica 소식입니다. 카메라 매니아라면 누구나 한대쯤 갖고 싶은 Leica 시리즈. 그중에서 M8이 조만간 Upgrade를 걸치게 되는데 이 비용은 추가 Excharge fee가 소요될 것이라고 Leica쪽에서 밝히고 있습니다.

Cruchgear에서 발표한 이 내용은 PMA 2008에서 내놓은 Leica의 Upgrade Program 소식이라고 합니다.

간략한 Upgrade 내용은 아래와 같습니다.

a new scratch resistant sapphire glass LCD screen cover; and a retuned, quieter shutter.

별도의 추가 비용이 드는 부분에 대한 상세 설명은

Like all things Leica, however, the upgrade program will not be cheap. According to Erhardt, it will cost participants 1200 Euros (or about $200,000 USD. Just kidding!) to join. Along with the two upgrades, participants in the program will also get a new two-year warranty on their M8.

이렇게 되며 M8을 구입한 고객은 2년간의 보증기간을 통해서 업그레이드 프로그램에 해당된다는 내용입니다.(어떻게 보면 Apple의 Apple Care와 같은 서비스를 Leica에서도 해주게 되는 셈이네요)
